I just got an A. Diversipes sling a few days ago. I really just got into the hobby again, and I have 3 spiders right now. The Diversipes is the only harder one to take care of I have at the moment.

Anyway, I've read up extensively on these things, and I've seen that their personalities are all over the map.

Mine is definitely a runner.

I was rehousing him/her today - known from this point on as "Alex", and Alex took off like a bat out of hell.

That little sling covered about 12 feet in a second. Wow!

I'm glad I had the forethought to do the rehousing in a large-ish open space. It wasn't too hard to trap Alex under the lid of the new home without too much fuss or any more stress.

Very lively little spider. I cannot wait to see how she (hopefully) grows.

:)

I've had my A. Diversipes for another week or two now....

I renamed (hopefully) her "Easter".

Easter is a weirdo. She is very shy/freaked out, and doesn't like to move alot.

I keep her next to my A. Versicolor, and the resemblance between the two slings is striking, but their behaviors are completely different.

It's rather odd. I had heard that the Diversipes tends to be more outgoing and be a bit more spunky. So far I have seen the exact opposite.
