So as winter is approaching I've stick a heat pad below my hisser viv, there's an inch or two of substrate between them and the heat mat. Now where the mat is its drying out my substrate yet my roaches love it. They've 3 pieces of Cork bark over lapping for good hiding spots and now they never come out. Should I just continue spraying them massively every day ?

Yeah, that's what happens when you use under-tank heaters, they dry the sub out pretty fast. Luckily hissers like it dry, just keep one side or corner moist for them and lightly mist the enclosure when you do cage maintenance and they should be fine. :)

Def. agree with Hisserdude. They won't mind dry patches where the heat pad is.
