Hi everyone :) So I have owned my Brachypelma albopilosum for about a year and a half now.......Had it since it was a 2nd or 3rd instar. Yesterday I saw a comment where the person said all tarantulas need a hide. I have never had a hide for my B.albo and it seems to be doing fine without one. When it was a sling it used to burrow but has not done that for about a year. What are your thoughts? After a year and a half should I give it a hide or keep it as it is with no hide? I have owned a G.Rosea for the same length of time and it has a hide. Many people say a G.Rosea is a pet rock but compared to my B.albo it is not.....the B.albo is the one that hardly moves lol

Yeah, my B. albo's (two juvies and a subadult) never use their hides. Even what startled, they just huddle into themselves. By convention, any animal should always be provided a hide. Whether or not to use it should be their choice, not yours.
