Hello!
My huntsman has his rear legs stuck in molt and is dragging it around. I gave him some water which he drank and is there anything else I can do? It’s a small juvenile, maybe 1/2 inch. We are leaving for couple of days too so I’m concerned for it’s well being. Anybody with experience on this? Thank you!

I’d try clipping the molt off best you can and let the spider handle it from there.

thank you! I actually just tried what you said using pincers and was able to get him out. We lost one leg and one still has little exoskeleton attached to it but other than that the spider looks healthy. Was about to update here. Glad to hear I did the right thing, thank you again.

We are leaving for 48 hours. The spider seems settled. Would you suggest I feed it when we come back or should I put few fruit flies in?

Water, and food will be fine. Best to handle that before you leave.
