Got this new baller ass pimp from a lps. he was listed as 'heterometrus sp.'

Is it possible to id him at all??

Would it be okay to keep him with another heterometrus sp. without a 100% positive id on both?

My current enclosure set up doesn't have good cross ventilation any suggestions? id like something clear, nice and inexpensive if it exists heh

I would not keep them communal before I'D. Emperors and Asian forest scorps look the same but have very different temperaments. Heterometrus sp. Are much more aggressive then the real OG emperor. Cross ventilation is always helpful. Something cheap to house them would be plastic Tupperware type stuff or I use Exo Terra breeder boxes and harphaven kritter keepers. All acrylic enclosures are the nicest IMO . All clear visual all around

I'm no expert but I strongly believe it's a heterometrus @Collin Clary is the expert on these. He well need pictured of its pinchers , tail, it's underside (clear as possible) just all around pics of it with good lighting

Photo is awfully dark, but is Heterometrus sp., probably petersii or laoticus, the more common species that Petsmart usually sells. A better photo w/h light will greatly help id'ing your new beast.
As far as Heterometrus communals, don't, keep them separate unless mating.

Definitely Heterometrus, but it looks juvenile so it's not going to be possible to get a positive ID.

Post some clear pictures and I'll see if I can narrow it down.
