My leopard gecko's enclosure starting to smell like crap, but I don't know any disinfectants/cleaners that won't hurt him when I seriously get in there and clean it.

Simple Green is great! It's harmless, but let the cage air put before you put your pet back in.

You can also use white vinegar and water, but I forget the ratio.

I couldn't find any Simple Green (nit even at Wal-Mart, astonishingly), but I did find Green Works. Is this stuff safe?

I use anti bacterial dish washing soap. Just need a couple drops per ten gallon. Once dry the smell is gone just like on your dishes. A bottle lasts a long time and it works great.

I use a product called Quat Plus distributed by Big Apple Herpetological. I have used it for years with all my reptiles with good results. Check out Big Apple's website for more information.

What brand? And what about that Green Works stuff? I really need something local here.
