help with an ID

hi everybody ^_^ i was refered here for this question...

a friend on another forum PM'ed me with this...

They look a lot like A cavaticus but have a big orange splotch on the underside of their abdomens and off-white cephalothoraxes. I think the legs are thinner than A cavaticus too. Their size varies a lot. Some are quite small but one was really big with an abdomen the size of a grape. I live in Iowa and these are really common in rural areas and I've seen some in town too. I've handled one and it didn't bite me whatever that's worth.

my guess was some kind of neoscona but i'm not too sure if any of you guys could help me out that would be awsome ^_^
