Is this a death curl?! I saw this earlier and I touched her and she moved around the entire ko sure but then sat and went back into this position... please tell me this isn’t a death curl!
not exactly sure how to bcuz she is barely moving right now... I picked her up and put her in a wet patch of soil will that be enough?provide water, now!
Fill a bottle cap and put her face right in it.not exactly sure how to bcuz she is barely moving right now... I picked her up and put her in a wet patch of soil will that be enough?
Not to completely disagree with you here homie, but that thing is not molting. That’s a death curl if I’ve ever seen one.I forget who said it but it was recently. "Does it smell?"
It looks like it is trying to molt in a restricted environment.
I don't think I've ever seen a dead spider right side up without mechanical conversion to death.
Like others have said. It is probably molting in a terrible position out of desperation. GBB don't req a lot of humidity to molt but they do need to have free access to water to push the fluid in the interstitial spaces to shed the old molt. Requiring active fluids is pretty big for them. Some other T's can just grab water from the humidity. Not GBBs so much.
Your alert when I'm sorting the recluse slings I almost had to change my boxers. Almost. They have another week. Not to completely disagree with you here homie, but that thing is not molting. That’s a death curl if I’ve ever seen one.
Don’t worry brother, I just filled mine. I’m going to blame it on my gf’s dog.Your alert when I'm sorting the recluse slings I almost h

No worries. It's all good. Just wish they weren't as fast as slings as the full adults.Don’t worry brother, I just filled mine. I’m going to blame it on my gf’s dog.
Thx I tried. But I think when she moved after I touched her she must’ve depleted all her energy at that point because I’ve had very little response from her so far.. I will know for sure today when I get home from work. I’m so bummed about this.. I’ve had her since 2015 from a 1/2” slingNot sure why this thread ended up talking about Loxosceles but you need to attempt to administer water ASAP @xAxeL
If it is still alive there is a very small chance of recovery.
But it is so far gone it's remote.
It was on webbing...webbing holds water...just put a few droplets on the webbing...GBBs couldn't be easier to provide water to with all their webbing.not exactly sure how to bcuz she is barely moving right now... I picked her up and put her in a wet patch of soil will that be enough?
Thank you I appreciate it honestly.I'm very sorry for your loss. As others have said, the winter can be harsh on spiders because the artificial heat dries them out so much faster.
Sorry. I was really rooting for ya.She didn’t make it guys
