Help me with this idea...it would ROCK

Ok, so I've been playing around with the Opera and Firefox web browser betas for a bit here, and had a REALLY cool idea, but I have no idea how to implement it.

Imagine if there were an addon that you could have running and it could scan the Dating and Sale/Trade forums for the Ts you are looking for? Every half hour, it would just scan and if somebody has something you are interested in, it would show in your' browser?

I'm asking if anybody thinks this idea would be useful or helpful, and if so does anybody know how to do such a thing?

Doesn't ebay have a feature like that? Posts to you if your favorite sellers put up new items? I am sure the code could be written, I personally have zero skill with such things, though.
