1" sling (notice the yellow hair on the abdomen maybe it will help with the id)
Also $40 for a 1" ? in europe thats a proper ripoff

thank you for the pic to help compare! now i need to find a good a pic of an L. violaceopes sling for comparison. hopefully its either one or the other, and just an error labling or information being passed down to the employees.

I actually bought one of these from Dave Grimm for $25 and he told me that it was a sling that came from Ana. It's just a small little thing, maybe half inch or so but if it helps I could take a pic and you could compare it to mine? Just let me know if a pic is wanted. {D
thank you for posting yours! i was almost hazarding a guess that it could be one of ana's at this shop too, but you never know right?

also, this goes out to everyone posting here, i wanted to thank you all for your input and help. i've gotten really intrigued about this little sling, especially since there is a remarkable absenence of information on it on the boards or online. i tried to do searches (i didn't want the search police to come after me!), but most of what popped up was confusion over naming and very, VERY little info on husbandry and the like. hopefully we can get more interest in these guys in the states, because they look gorgeous from what i have seen of pics of ana's female.

and, yes, i'm buying it tomorrow :D:D:D

That's great... I'm buying 2 from Ana at the New York Reptile show. We should all compare notes on raising them, and make sure others can find more info than we can.

It looks like Ana's spiders were some of the first imported in a long time (20 years), and from what I can tell, she is one of the only people to have bred them.

Well, considering L. violaceopes are arboreal, they should look considerably different as slings.

Yes, I know E. cyanognathus and C. ritae, among others, are considered semi-arboreal. My point is something like L. violaceopes and any of the pokies is going to be much more obvious and look quite different from a terrestrial once it hits 2i.

EDIT: I can't quote an ad from FS/T but here's a link to a pic of a 2i L. violaceopes:

Here are pics of my L. violaceopes sling. I know there is some controversy over names, but this was sold to me as L. violaceopes (Singapore Blue). The Sing. Blue is much more "fuzzy". Please excuse the girly reference, but it's the only way to describe it lol.
