Help ID a Southern California Aligator Lizard

Found this Alligator Lizard in Long Beach, CA near the beach. This guy is approx. a foot long juvy lizard. It appears that there are a number of different species that overlap in this area - can anyone tell me which species he is?[/ATTACH]

My very first herp was an alligator lizard. I was maybe 5 years old at the time. She lived for maybe 3 years in my "care" (I was a child, after all), and became very docile. She used to hide in my shirt pocket. So many memories! You could say she was my "gateway".... haha
