I got this E. javanica around March 23. I had ordered two males from a place I thought was reputable (but turned out not to be). I received one dead male due to awful packing, and this female, who survived. I had guessed that she was gravid since she looked so fat, and I was right. Earlier today I found several yellow things around her enclosure that appeared to be part of her ootheca. I removed them and put them on a damp paper towel. Now she has four more eggs.
I've read that once hissing roaches abort their oothecae the babies can't survive. Is there really nothing I can do to save them? Could the stress of this kill the roach? And is there anything I can/should do to help?
