Does anyone have any ideas on ways to revive a (seemingly) dying Egyptian Mantis. I have only had this guy for about 1 1/2 weeks and it just molted 2 days ago. But today I found it lying on the bottom of the enclosure. It's in ICU now (deli cup, lots of moisture, some additional heat) and breathing but not moving.

The mouth parts aren't moving so i don't think any of the water I have dripped onto it are being absorbed.

Any suggestions are welcome....

Thanks,
Jeff

I've had this happen ocasionally with newly molted mantids. It sounds like you're doing everything you can. Hope she pulls through.

I also lost a S. linoela (sp?) to a similar fate....never did figure it out. Read a book that suggested it may be due to not enough ventilation. Good luck with yours.
