I woke up to see my desert hairy laying in her dish with her face out.
I don’t wanna move her. I’m not sure if she’s just looking for moisture to molt or what she’s doing, but has anyone experienced this? is she OK?

Ya I’m definitely letting her do her thing, it just worried me a bit cause I’ve previously had an emperor scorpion fully submerg and drown 🤷🏼‍♀️
As long as she can get out and she doesn't seem distressed or is acting weird otherwise, just keep an eye on her.

So only baby’s have to worry about drowning?? Scorpion don’t have urticating hairs I could consider them someday . Desert hairy might be too hard for a beginner though.

Update 6pm I found a cricket chewing on her leg and quickly shewed it away, she was not reacting :/ pretty sure she passed away…
it’s so weird cause her behavior has seemed fine she comes out every night and likes to dig as usual…other than she stopped eating for the past couple months but I know they do that sometimes randomly or if they’re gonna molt 😔

Babies can't escape water tension. The adults can lift themselves out of the water if theres a good enough grip to pull themselves out.
