Help a panicked co-worker with this ID

She found this exuvium in her garage and since im "the spider guy" of my home depot, she brought it to me... it was found in the Camarillo area of Ventura Co. California, thats about all I know other that it was a mature male... any guesses... the exuvium is 1.5" in the curl.

PS i think its an exuvium because its hollow... one of the legs broke off when i was bringing it home, and by the looks of the shriveled abdomen.

That is definitely a mygalomorph. I would judge it to be a male trapdoor spider, possibly of the genus Myrmekiaphila.

This could possibly help, she said she sees no webs, they are up in the upper part of her garage in the rafters, so would trapdoors climb like that, this is about the 5th one shes found.
