I’ve always thought Haploclastus devamatha would be very suitable species for haplotank concept enclosure.

Then I finally decided to move on with the idea.

I would increase the amount of substrate to within 2-2.5” of the lid and offer a starter burrow. Other than that. Spot on my friend!

Here is mine I made for my C lividus

The reason I stopped at half filled substrate is because, it will highly likely to make a turret like burrow. It would need some space in between.

Do you like keeping this species? I keep going back and forth on whether I should get some or not. Pros and cons?

It’s not about liking or disliking the species. I wanted to observe this species.

Mine got stuck in a molt but I’d like to try again soon. They’re a classic “gorgeous but you never see them” spider in my experience, similar to most Asian fossorials. It’s a real treat when you do tho. Full grown adults don’t have the metallic sheen thought

Nineteen days after initial rehousing, the enclosure is now looking like this:

Haploclastus devamatha made the burrow all the way to the bottom and there it dwells.
