Hi all, been away but now im back,
Have just seen my H.Lividum sling out of her burrow since the first time I got her about 3 months ago; my how she's grown!!!
I was wondering about what size/ age/ moult they start to develop their blue colour, (if indeed it is a female)??

My A. Geniculata sling moulted yesterday, she's about the size of a 10 pence piece now, and she has the white banding and red hairs, they're about the same size but little Lani (cobalt blue) is still brown.

No pics i'm afraid dont have camera, but there's a pic in the gallery of a sling on some guy's jean-clad leg, and she basically looks like that :D

thanks in advance

Congrats on the successful molts and growing.

As for the H.lividum question, I'm pretty sure they start getting the blue coloration at around 2, maybe 3". The gender won't matter colorwise because the males are blue until their ultimate molt.
