Edit: Cyriopagopus, not Haplopelma

What is known about this species? I saw slings at my local expo and the pics of adults are gorgeous.

Since they're Cyriopagopus I assume they're pet holes who like it warm and damp. Anyone have experience caring for these?

Yup, a deep moist hole is all they need. I've heard they're Extremely defensive too.

albostriatum is a smaller species of Cyriopagopus . My female is an adult at just over four slender inches..

Substrate should be moist and give them atleast 3x there DLS for burrowing.. They prefer well packed sub and a premade burrow.. I have never had a problem getting her to settle into a new enclosure..

Mine seals her burrow off if temps rise much above 80F and stays at the bottom of the enclosure.. Since dropping the temps to 72-78 she is usually visible at the entrance to her burrow.

I have rehoused her now three times and never gotten typical Cyriopagopus behavior.. IME and that of a friend that owns another female they are the most relaxed out of all the Cyriopagopus species..

If a anyone ever posed the question of which Cyrio sp. is best to start with it would be albostriatum.. They are comparatively docile to the rest of the genus, great feeders and absolutely breathtaking when you get a good look at them..
