I have a Avicularia versicolor and after he eats his cricket he hangs the carcus on a piece of silk from the roof of his home. Why is that?

Maybe he's been watching predator. I'm not sure but I would guess its to keep something else from getting it.

My pokies do that sometimes too, and if I forget they are there, a day or so later the ball of remains is starting to mold but it's hanging away from everything else. So I just take tweezers and pull it out. It’s almost like they know the remains are going to spoil and do what they can to keep it away from them.

I agree with talkenlate, I have seen some of my pokies hang their remains of crix by a thread alongside their hide. They are just moving the remains out of the way. I have a young avic I recently got who does the same thing. Im sure its a pretty common behavior.
