I've heard that it can take two or more years, longer than an Pandinus spp. or Heterometrus spp. Most scorpions reach sexual maturity at instar 6 to 9, some even earlier.

A good substrate would be sand, but it is not a good idea to use beach sand because it may contain too much salt. I have actually never kept any arid-dwelling species before and I wouldn't know for certain, but common play-sand or red "Jurassic" sand might work well. Others' will give you more information.:)

I keep my Hadogenes on dry Coco.

Stacks of slate rock to provide crevasses to hide in.

As far as how long it takes to reach maturity... I have no Idea.
Ive had my female for about a year... no molt yet.

Temps s/b towards the higher side. with humidity low.

I mist once a week or so (Screen top so it evaps quick) and I fill up its water dish once a week and let it flood that corner a bit.
