Had fiddler crabs...now what?

I had a pair of fiddlers and they just up and died a week ago, had 'em for a year. I'm just looking for something that isn't so...boring. I know that there are a ton of mantids out there but I am not a fan of short lifespans. Anything that's not a roach because mum won't have them "IN MY HOUSE" and something active. Shoot...

I suggest this to everyone, but it works.
Active, easy to look after, kind of short lifespan but you can't tell if everything is breeding, edible - hoppers.

Locusts or grasshoppers, pick the nicest appearance and off you go!

They are quite remarkable to watch.

For less active but more fun - assassins!

Paper wasps can become your best friend if worked with properly.

Polistes fuscatus is always a winner. If you want spicy try one of the large pedes or an aboreal T.

I kinda have a thing, because wasps are the only inverts that's bug me...no pun intended, frankly, they scare the crap out of me. I've decided to get a new T. I've found a deal on a C. fasciatum. I'll see you when I've more insect issues. Thanks!

I would LOVE to keep locusts! We have some giant hoppers here called gray bird grasshoppers. I hope to find some this summer and try keeping them. Predatory katydids would be fun too. They should be in season soon
