I have had a h.spadix for 8 months now and it seems to be doing fine. However i have heard that they have molting problems. I was wondering what the chances of survival were for the next molt. I presume that he only has 1-2 molts to go till he reaches adulthood so he is by no means a scorpling. I keep him at 30 degrees celcius and at 40% humidity.

From what i have read, it seems H spadix can deal with humidity better than their 'cousin' H arizonensis. Not sure how valid that statement is, but if the scorp is premoult you could try raising the humidity a bit.

I'm sure someone with experience with this species will either agree or disagree with what i have said..... and set you on the right path

H.spadix is quite similar to H.arizonesis

Check my comments to posting "H. araizonensis communal?". The species are very similar in most respects.
