H maculata dimorphism?

do these guys show dimorphism? if so, what size can you tell?
im asking as mine is about 4" and is pretty darn white still, i thought makes were darker as they grew?

Yes, they show sexual dimorphism. As slings they are all brownish, then later the females will become lighter. I am not sure at what size the females will develop their adult colouration, but if your specimen has colours that can be placed on a "greyscale" it is a female.

Am I right in thinking there are 2 locality variations and ones dark markings are dark brown/black instead of dark grey/black?

I have not heard this, doesn't mean you are wrong. This isn't another "black" P. metallica thing I hope hahah

Hahah I hope not too. But its what I have heard. Some breeders here selling both o_O

Oh boy, could be true, or just a gimmick. Wonder what makes them think they are different localities. Maybe a shipment came in and all were grey vs white etc.
