Well, my female H.mac decided to live out in the open today. Just sitting out like a Brachypelma. I've never gotten a chance to really see her much until this new phase of hers. She didn't even bolt when I opened the lid of her enclosure! I sure could get used to this!

I should also note that she doesn't seem sick or anything. I dropped a superworm in there and she grabbed it at ludicrous speed.

I sure could get used to this!

That's one reason why there's so many escapes and bites in this hobby. Every once in a while they do something unpredictable and make you look stupid. I treat my spiders based on what they're capable of, not what they usually do.

One of my H. macs and my calceatum always hang out like that. Beautiful baboons.

I agree that they are far too gorgeous to be reclusive. She is really stunning.
