H.Gigas-tarantula or fish

I have a large ,probably 6"h.gigas(unsure of sex).I know they like the water,but mine never gets out of it.Its usually just stretched out over its water dish or sometimes just kinda sits in it.Is this normal behavior or is it missing something? Thanks...Rich

Well its def. not abnormal.
I've got a gigas that does the swimming thing, and then i've got 2 new ones that don't really do the water thing.

bill from here was/is/willbe fixing up his gigas split tank (fishtank-slash-terrarium)...

if you're not keeping it humid enough, that could be its way of getting more water...

they are a water-loving species, so check it out... whats your humidity/set-up like?
