I went into a local Petco(Yeah, I know) and there was one

And they had no clue, no info, that was NO suprise:rolleyes:

Here it is, not sure on the sex yet, just trying to get it settled in.

That looks identical to my male G. rosea. I would put money on that being the same. Nice one too. Looks a little to healthy for Petco to have been taking care of it though. lol.

Yep, it's a Rosie, what else would you expect from them:?

It was only $15, not a steal, but not a crime either. LOL

This picture does not do it justice either. I didn't want to mess
with it too much. I'll try for another one later when it settles in.
The carapace is VERY "rosie" pink and it's body is dark with
lighter bristles (hairs) It's at least 3 inches nose to rump.

They were quite shocked when I asked them to open its set up
and even more so when I reached in to pick it up!
It had only been there a few days, so they really did not have time to abuse it. There was a sponge in its dish though, ack!
and of course, a bunch of dead crickets, double ACK!! The
substrate was some kind of bark, not sure what kind.

Their list of T's was short, but interesting. OH MAN, talk about
common names! Sheesh!~Bird eater, Rose hair, ACK!
And the staff, absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE.........so I gave a
quick T 101 class :D

My other Rosie is just plain old brownish too....
I think that's what made me get this one, and the fact that I
did not want it to suffer an UGLY end at Petco;P

It did eat and is making a little web carpet, so I think it's going to
be fine:cool:
It's pretty skinny compared to my other one, I should be able to
fix that:D

Nice looking Rosie!

Looks like it was taken care of ok. Even when going into PetCo, it's hard to pass up a beautiful T. I'm sure you did it a favor by buying it. Good luck with it.
