Gravid Emperor?

Is there an easy way to tell if an Emperor Scorpion is gravid? I recently got 2 very large specimens in for my mom (I don't know much about them...just what little I've learned from reading various care sheets). One of them is hideously fat - to the point I can see lots of grey area in between the black on her body.

Maybe I should back up...how do you SEX Emp Scorps? Maybe I just have a fat boy...

answer

get a tupper ware continer put in the scorpion and than get a soft sponge and press gently and start counting thecombs on its pectines. If there are lots of them it is a male.

Well, it looks like the smaller one in with the fat one is definitely a male, based on your description. Haven't checked the fat one yet, but I plan to. Thanks!
