Just wanted to share an interesting experience I had today. This morning I woke up to find that my G. pulchra and G. pulchripes slings who had both been in premolt for a while had both molted. I was pleased, but wrote it off as a coincidence until later when I saw that my G. rosea sling had also molted. Three molts in one day by three different members of the same genus seems like some sort of synchronization. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Its not synchronized anything, the ts are just responding to the same favorable atmospheric/weather conditions.

One of my other Ts also just flipped over to molt so sadly you’re definitely right. It’s been very humid and hot today so that might be the reason.

All of my Brachypelma species, and a few other species, molt every year at the same time in the month of June. It just so happens I live in an old house without any insulation in the walls or attic so their room experiences the seasons every year. The molting period perfectly corresponds to the temperature change from spring to summer. The molting period is so predictable I know which tarantulas to stop feeding around the last week of May.
