Paired up my female this evening with a male here on loan. The female was very willing, the male didn't quite seem to "know" what to do.

Once the male got the female into position (which only happened because the female kept turning, in position, until he figured it out) I didn't see any insertions, but I'll try them again tomorrow or Wednesday.

It started in the female's tank, but the female wandered out, into the male's container, and finally on the bed, where they finally came together.

The male and female both are approximately 6" legspan.

Nice shots. She seems pretty peeved at the end of the scene there. Looks like she definitely had enough of the nooky. How was the male's behavior? From a video clip I saw at Jakes Tarantulas they have a slow and gentle process. Hope you get lots of babies!

Although it looks like a threat display, they will somtimes stay in a "mating trance" after mating. Pretty much, she's just holding the position. She showed no aggression towards the male and seemed very responsive/willing.

How was the male's behavior?

The male was drumming a good bit, but when he got with the female couldn't quite get her into position. They are the same legspan, but she is much more heavily-bodied than he.

Yeah, I find it amusing when a male can't figure out what to do. It's funny when he keeps starting to pick her up, and she's flicking her fangs out for him to hook, and he kind of goes, "dur...... now what... uh-oh, what'em I doin with this big spider above me?" and backs off, only to come back to her in about 5 seconds.
