Hello everyone,

well last night i was going thew my b. dubia's and noticed what i belive are grain mites! very few but still they are there, i have only noticed them on my b. dubia collony so far. I was curious are these mites worth just throwing out the b. dubia collony or are they not quite that bad? i cant seem to find out if these grain mites are all that bad, all the bad mites i find info on seem to be black.

i just woke up so hope that you can all understand this post lol i am still sleepy lol.

thanks

Try keeping the bin on the drier side.

Being grain mites, I am concerned about them being introduced through the food we give our roaches. They can be brought in through any grains. Chick and dog foods seem to be a common source of infestation.

Has anyone experimented with microwaving the food to kill possible mites?
