Hi all. I received 6 C. vittatus scorplings today. I'm getting ready to set up their little enclosures, but realized I'm not sure what substrate to use for them. Can I use Coco Fiber as with my T's or do they need sand or something else?

Thanks!

I keep mine on a sand and mulch (make sure it's untreated) mixture. I'd say 70% or so sand, remember C. vitts are a in a variety of substrates in nature...so a mixture is best. I had a communal tank of 9 at one point, they are great fun. Be sure to keep some semi vertical bark hides for them, they love to sit on bark upright hides. I bury some in the substrate and they stick up at a 30-40 degree angle. Just keep them away from the screen top and anything else they could possibly reach. I almost had an escape because of that once lol.
