It seems that I picked up a LOT of new inverts yesterday on our SCABIES (Southern California Arachnid Bug Invertibrate Entomological Society) Hike & Hunt.

One of the many was this African Red Trapdoor (Gorgyrella sp.) that I got from Francisco Torres (ftorres).
He lives nearby, so he stopped by Andrew's (cacoseraph's) house to make the transaction. Very exciting stuff. Gracias Francisco!

Here's some pics of the little guy.

Thanks all!!!
Actually a friend of mine on the boards noticed something very obvious that I had overlooked......

This spider was either emaciated or dehydrated! I mean, just LOOK at that abdomen! Little wrinkled sack of nothing! These guys are W/C.....so it's to be expected.

So...I put in a waterdish overnight.....and this is what I got:

BEFORE

AFTER

Now she looks a lot healthier!!! YAY!!!! :D

She has started to give me some typical Gorgyrella sp. attitude since she drank her water last night!!! :D {D :D
Just look at the size of her abdomen compared to the first PhotoShoot!

More AFTER Pictures!!! (Since rehydration)
