it's so funny that i'm already planning this, but since i bought my P.Imperator which is tropical, i figured I'd probably get a desert dweller soon. what is a good starter in that category?

Leiurus quinquestriatus. :D. Just kidding. But that was my first desert species. Right after 2 p.imps, 2 h.spins, & 2. h.paucidens. All very weak venom. I would like to own some low venom species as well eventually.

Hello;

My thoughts on this subject is the Egyptian Green Scorpion (Buthacus leptochelys nitzani) like the one 'JungelGuts' showed At this thread here, it's beautiful. I don't know much about it but it's nice looking. :D

There great scorps but there pretty HOT for a first desert. Id say any desert thats not hot would be good for a first. S. mesas, V. spinigerus, desert hairy ect ect

I have a fair amount of desert scorps including v.spin., h. arizonensis, s. mesa. L.Q's and a. austral. The desert hairy, v. spin. and the s. mesa are always out doing something. the L.Q's and a. austral. are always under their hides.Any of the Arizona scorps would be a great beginning desert species.
