I’ve had multiple new world arboreal and terrestrial Ts. Looking to get my first old world arboreal, any suggestions?

I wouldn't really recommend a pokie for a first OW, they have very potent venom. Also are very fast. You're better off starting with a terrestial, or fossorial. Maybe an M. balfouri?

Pokis and other Asian OWs are the worst choices for your first OW. You’d have to be crazy to choose that over a terrestrial African species.

The safest way is the ladder system.

Best genera are in order of best

I mira, Ceratogyrus, M. balfouri

What new world arboreals have you kept?

If you've kept anything from the Psalmopoeinae subfamily (Psalmopoeus/Tapinauchenius/Pseudoclamoris) for a bit and haven't had any issues then Pokies aren't going to be a problem for you, I'd recommend subfusca "Lowland" as they're the calmest out of those I've worked with.

If you haven't kept any NW arboreals other than Aviculariinae (Avicularia/Caribena/Ybyrapora/Iridopelma/etc.) then I'd recommend getting something from the Psalmopoeinae subfamily before even considering any OW arboreals.

It's not polite to tease those of us in the states about getting our hands on any subfusca 😉
