I just bought three containers. One nice 5.5 gallon aquarium from a scratch and dent sale at the pet store, and two Sterilite 7 quart containers at Wal-mart.
I wish that the Sterilite containers were a bit more clear, but it was 1.76 versus 13.99 for a KK.
I'll be rehousing an A. geniculata, a P. murinus, and a B. albo. The murinus ought to be fun; she has been living in her log for about 3 years, and I can't imagine how territorial she will be when I take it away..... But space has become an issue and she is in a ten gallon that really is overkill. Anyway, the threat poses I get ought to be entertaining. ;P

You might be suprised. I rehoused mine a couple months ago and I was all ready. I took Mr. Schultz's advice and everything. Then, the P. murinus simply walked from one enclosure to the other. I felt like a real doofus. But, a prepared doofus, nonetheless!

Good luck! Re-housing is so much fun.

Well, turns out I was also a prepared doofus.... But man am I glad I did this. It is almost as if I have a new tarantula. I'm hoping she will web up the enclosure; I love to see those crazy thick murinus webs!

The webbing is amazing. Mine is a burrower and goes all the way to the bottom of the 7" of substrate I have for her. Then, she carefully crafts three webbed access routes to the burrow. It kinda looks like a spider web pitch fork. :D

I have a clay pot and cork bark for her to hide in, but she never uses it. The crickets try to hide there, but they are not as clever as they think they are.

Does yours burrow, too?
