I wonder who is still breeding the original Pandinus imperators (the ones from Togo/Ghana). As i did hear that the current ones in circulation come from Congo.

Because P. imperator are listed under CITES Appendix ii this still allows the export of them after obtaining import / export licenses. These are more lax in certain areas, the Congo being one.

I am trying to find the original Ghanan/Togo emperor scorpions. As I remember them being on the online Petco website way back when.

Who knows what is what these days. Pandinus viatoris are being imported now which look like Pandinus cavimanus to me.The importers will call them what they think will sell best or get around import licenses.
