Another gallery is not showing up in the ticker on the home page. This one...

Working as intended. If a user can't be bothered to place their picture in an appropriate category, we can't be bothered to show it in new media

I totally agree, but I have used that gallery in the past when there hasn't been another appropriate option for me. It's not an issue anymore, since I can have my own album now, but I used it before that.
