I have had this little sling for about 4 months. Yesterday I caught her expanding her burrow and piling the substrate on top for her water dish. I was just curious if anybody has any ideas about the movements she is making when depositing the dirt. I suspect that she is just packing the dirt down, but I wanted to share it to get other opinions.

EDIT: I noticed that there is some awkward audio in the background. Pay it no attention. It's the new season of OITNB.

That reminds me to my Grammostola porteri rebuilding her enclosure. Every crumb must be on the right place. I loved to watch her digging ^^.

She's helping you tamp down the substrate of course :)

My G. pulchra does this often in the water dish corner as well.

Since we're posting burrowing videos:

Bulldozer (juvenile female Grammostola pulchra) shows us how she got her name.
