Freshly molted GBB

There have been a lot of pics of green bottle bleu's lately, but you can never see too many of them, so I'll post a few of my newly molted beauty. It's about 3 1/2" now.
First one is a picture with flash, doesn't show the color in all its beauty though:

i never thought id like a GBB. i always made fun of my friend that he has the T that is the official T of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance (sorry for the tasteless joke). but when i got my own, pictures do no justice for their striking colors. mine just molted too, and those legs are mesmerizing. i can look at it all day.

Well you are obviously homosexual if you like this spider, chuck. Didn't you realize that GBB stands for "Gay & Bisexual Brothas"? Geez, you're totally gay. Just teasin. This is a great spider and if the "GLA" ever picked it for their official T then they made a great choice! =D

I have got two C. cyaneopubescens two days ago and I am so happy I was so impatient before... But they are just 1/2" now and I will have to wait for these incredible adult colours... But it will be worth waiting Especially because they look so sweet when they are slings... :}

Do you find your GBB is extremely skittish and defensive? Mine acts as if he's on drugs most of the time

Mine is very skittish, running into its hide at the least disturbance, but I can't say it's defensive, it has only kicked hairs twice or so, and I've never seen a defense pose from him/her.
by the way: I think your gbb is about one molt behind mine, it has still got some of the abdomen markings.

yea, for a "beginner's" species my GBB is very defensive. kicking hairs and attacking my tweezers. but they sure are fun to watch when a cricket has been slowed down in their webbing ;P

I don't think that GBB's are really defensive, mine is not even that skittish, mine has never been in adefense pose or thrown hairs. The only thing I notice about it's behavior is ALOT of webbing and a really aggressive feeding response. They are a great species to own.

My nearly 5 inch female tends to just run away if you disturb her, I've yet to see her kick hairs or act defensive. Its damn fast though.
