Hi! Thanks for all the amazing work that the AB staff does, and for this amazing platform. Just wanted to say I think it would be really cool if we had a forum to discuss deadstock and preserved specimens in addition to the inherently more fun live ones. Could bring up some interesting discussions around species that aren't necessarily available in the hobby as livestock... Thanks!

I'd be up for that idea. Quite a lot of keepers preserve their dead specimens, which is something I've considered doing myself.

Definitely an interesting idea. We're not against it, but are not sure if there is enough content of this type to warrant its own forum. If you're really interested, you're going to have to do some work for it. ;)

Find me 25 quality (informative and/or interesting) threads on the subject on Arachnoboards and we'll consider it further :)

Hello again! Apologies this took forever, Senior Spring was not the promised period of calm. Here are 27 informative deadstock threads from the past few years. I will admit that, with a few exceptions, these threads tended to be fairly short lived and tarantula focused, but are nevertheless interesting. I will say I learned a few methods of preservation I would have never thought of.

Now that's doing your research lol. Asked and delivered. I guess the question is if there is going to be a deadstock subforum, where would it go? Since the topic covers all inverts, I imagine it would have to go into it's own subforum category.
