are you really claiming that substrates, both in and of themselves, and, mixtures - do not have unique properties, functions and can be tailored to specific lifeways/niches based upon this?

no, in fact if you read what I wrote I even mentioned differences....I am saying the differences do not mater to the tarantula and the t can utilize any of the subs to burrow in.

No one’s recommended Chilobrachys as a potential aside?
Absurdly heavy webbers, and will burrow intricate tunnels. Very satisfying to keep.
