Flying Insects

I recently recieved a spider(unidentified) that builds it's web to catch flying prey. So far I have been dropping pinheads and grasshoppers into the web, but the spider gets scared when I drop the big insects in. Are there any small insects that fly and can be used as feeders? The spider is almost an inch long. Thanks.

maybe you can get a starter colony of wax worms or meal worms, the wax worms will morph into moths, and the meal worms will morph into small beetles
pet shops usually carry scuttle flies, im not sure if theyre big enough to get caught tho
