Flightless fruit fly lifespan outside of container

So let’s say someone (me) improperly closed the FFF container… and a ton got out and are roaming my closet. How long will they live outside of the container? How long til I’m in the clear if my husband doesn’t notice

According to "Orkin" on the Web... 40 to 50 Day Lfe Span.
But if confined to a closet without food and H20 considerably Shorter.
I would guess a day or two
