ok In my H. maculata's tank there are a couple of tiny flies in there I usually keep it pretty clean except there is 1 full cricket that is under the substrate that died. and a few boluses laying around. will these flies cause a problem? and have any of you ever heard of useing isopods to clean the tank of boluses and dead materials? do you think that would work?

Sounds like its time to clean house!:p

It depends on what kind of flies they are as to wether or not
they can cause a problem. They are probably fungus gnats.
These flies love wet places and will breed a lot. They are just
a pest, not a real problem. But I would clean up the T's home
and let it dry a little. That should control or may even get rid of
the little flies.
