JUst wondering do you think about 5 year old fire bellied toads should be fed waxworms regulary?
Are they better than crickets?

Waxworms should NEVER be more than an occasional snack for any animal. They're like the fattiest possible prey item there is. 
They're good if you're nursing a very malnourished/skinny/weak animal out of the danger zone, or if you have a leopard gecko that's lost its tail (and so has no fat stores until the tail grows back).
Otherwise, no. Occasional snack.
