Waxworms should NEVER be more than an occasional snack for any animal. They're like the fattiest possible prey item there is. They're good if you're nursing a very malnourished/skinny/weak animal out of the danger zone, or if you have a leopard gecko that's lost its tail (and so has no fat stores until the tail grows back).
