I've had an A avic for three weeks now(first T), and it hasn't eaten in two and a half weeks, so I figured it must be in premolt.
I kept the humidity high, and always sat impatiently next to its tank, waiting for a molt.
I tried my hand at ef sexing, and I figured it could be male.

So this fine, Philadelphian morning, I wake up, and see him upside down in his web! Yay, he was gonna molt! I bolt down the stairs to tell my father. I run back up the stairs, and take a few pics of him.
Then, something moves in the corner of my eye.
My avic had already finished molting!!!
He was a gorgeous blue-ish color!
When I took out the exuvium, it was still soft, so he was fresh out of the molt.
And I checked the exuvium, he's a male. :)
Here are some pictures.:)

Here's when I thought it was him in the web:

His gorgeous coloring(and him hiding):

And a color comparison(what a difference!):

2 1/2 weeks?! your lucky, I've now been waiting 2 months for my A avic to molt and it still hasn't molted, everytime I go into my room it's the first and last one I check to see if it's molted/ on it's back and there is never anything.

Hehe, funny, I wait 3 weeks to feed him, and now I have to wait another week to feed and handle!
Poor thing, his fangs aren't black yet and his abdomen is so small...
