I had the T.blondi for a while but apophysis and stirmi are new arrivals.
Here is the box opening video:
Notice how apophysis girl is searching for moisture. She was shipped very dry and she drank for an hour.
And here are some more photos:

A sub-adult blondi I have:
I have kept this genus for a long time and have never seen extreme aggression. They will raise their legs and/or flick hairs. Their hairs are their main weapon and quite a serious one.She seems very calm in the video is that normal for that species?.... I didn't think it was
and you'd think thousands of babies will come from this... nope, 24!Here is how the T.blondi looks like now...
I am thinking gravid...
And that's if she makes a proper sack does not eat it 2 minutes or 28 days later...and you'd think thousands of babies will come from this... nope, 24!
if you manage to get babies, put me on the list of getting few of themAnd that's if she makes a proper sack does not eat it 2 minutes or 28 days later...
Theraphosa species are one of the few species which are actually more expensive in EuropeI miss all my " big 3 " ... from reading this thread it seems they have gone way up in value. I used to get mine for $50 each.
Even that is only 3 weekends on the ale though. So it's still bloody good for the phenomenal pet you're getting.T.stirmi are fine, I got my subadult girl for about a €100 but T.blondi and T.apophysis go for over €300, which is insane...
Hence I have them mate. And the Xenesthis sp Blue , and the Monocentropus lambertoni, and the Thrigmopoeus psychedelicus etc etc.Even that is only 3 weekends on the ale though. So it's still bloody good for the phenomenal pet you're getting.
It is expensive for a T though.
