Do you have a copy of "The Tarantula Keepers Guide" By Stanely A. Schultz and Maguerite J. Schultz?

feeding portions and schedual also depends if you are trying to power feed you slings or not. Tarantulas are opportunistic eaters so they will eat period, whenever whatever(as spider diet dictates). If you are trying to get your slings to grow faster and molt more often to get them to reach a certain size
(this is the so called power feeding), yea you can feed every other day. 1-2 crickets(maybe 3 for voracious eaters like L.parahybana or A. geniculata) that sort of meal plan combined with a dash higher temperatures will kick start your slings into juvies. However some people claim or should i say it is rumored that tarantulas have a predetermined number of molts and powerfeeding shortens their life span due to the fact that they grow faster and thusly mature faster as well.

If you are not trying to power feed and are going with nature over nurture, 2-3 crickets atleast once in a span of 2 weeks time is more than enough.
