What’s everyone favorite latrodectus sp. as far as looks or behavior if you kept them personally. has to be non-native America sp. no mactans, hesperus, variolus, bishopi, or geometricus. There are many other beautiful latrodectus sp. such as elegens, tredecimguttatus, curacaviensis and may others. I encourage everyone to explore this entire genus. All have spectacular colors and paterns. A truly amazing genus.

I don’t recall the location but believe I saw one out of S America- regardless the red was a stunning pattern, far more wild looking than the US

L variolus by a long shot. Grew up with them and have always admired their beauty. L bishopi and L elegans are both beautiful too.

Geometricus is not native to the US. I honestly don't care for them much.

To answer your question: tredecimguttatus

My vote is L. elegans, with corallinus a strong runner-up :)
