Go to 'you-tube' and type in Thaedion. He has posted an excellent vid of how to set up a false bottom. (stones on the bottom, a covered tube leading down, subtrate on top of stones, flood stones using tube:D ) Thaedion also has a load of other great vids on there

Happy huntin'

A false bottom works like so:

Along the bottom of the tank you place appropriate sized rocks/stones then place your substrate ontop of them. You feed a tube down the side of the tank which feeds into the rocks/stones.

This allows for a layer of water under the substrate which in turn means the substrate soaks up what's needed and whatever evaporates is also soaked into the substrate.

This also provides a more natural feel to your enclosure, the substrate being more moist the further down you go just as it is in the Scorpions natural environment (allows your scorpion to burrow to it's desired humidity)!

As Damo said, Thaedons video's are absolutely awesome.

Those videos are awesome.
I'm now considering a False Bottom setup when I clean my tank out.
